WWE Rumor Report: 7 biggest rumors of the week

Big news coming from the corners of the internet
Big news coming from the corners of the internet

This past week was possibly one of the most important weeks in the WWE calendar, as the post WrestleMania environment WWE has created will define how well their decisions from the show of shows succeed or fail.

And if we are being honest, this week's episodes of Raw and SmackDown Live were not the greatest editions of the show fans have seen in 2019, but they were certainly entertaining, as the Superstar Shake-up gave fans a proper indication of the true narratives that would carry the brands for the next few months.

From AJ Styles and Roman Reigns switching brands to big rumours being passed around like a hot potato, this was quite an eventful week for the WWE, as there are a lot of rumors running wild on the internet that could give the WWE Universe some evidence of what is truly going on in the company right now.

The one thing that WWE fans were always wary about over the last few years was the way WWE handle some of the biggest stars that come out of NXT, as these future champions are either called up early with no plan in mind or just straight up ruined by the 'creative' booking they receive every week. But what happened on Raw this week might just take the cake.

We witnessed the team of Hanson and Rowe who were formerly known as the War Machine on the independent scene receive yet another name change, and while NXT's creative team handled the change quite subtly by tweaking 'Machine' to 'Raiders', Raw's head honchos made a rather hilarious choice in the name change.

As the War Raiders are now known as The Viking Experience, and if that was not enough, WWE even changed their names from Hanson and Rowe to Ivar and Erik. You know there has to come a time when WWE ask themselves what does shortening a wrestlers name or changing it complete do for the product? It makes no difference, and if they were changing a name for the better, the rumored name for the duo could have been better.

The Beserkers was the initial choice WWE had in mind but ultimately went for the infamous Viking Experience.
