WWE Rumor: WWE forced to make a number of changes during the Royal Rumble?
What's the story?
WWE presented the 32nd annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday night which saw Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins become this year's winners of the annual matches, but whilst the show looked as though it went forward without a hitch, there were actually a number of changes made.
In case you didn't know...
WrestleVotes already reported earlier this week that some plans for Dean Ambrose were changed at the last minute, which may have been why the men's Royal Rumble match was made the main event and seemed to end on a little bit of a downer, but there were also a number of other changes made.
These ones seemingly weren't as big changes, but since WWE had to make time for more than 60 superstars in the last three hours of the show, it makes sense that some things had to be changed in order to make up some time.
The heart of the matter
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, WWE were forced to make a number of changes to the Women's Royal Rumble match because the women were unable to make their spots in time so some had to be lengthened in accordance with the size of the entrance way.
This is reportedly why it seemed as though some of the entrances were much longer in the women's match than the mens.
What's next?
The Royal Rumble marked the beginning of The Road to WrestleMania and Seth Rollins has already chosen Brock Lesnar as his opponent, whilst Becky Lynch made it clear that she was going to challenge Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship.
