WWE Rumours: AJ Styles next feud revealed?

Is The Phenomenal One destined for a lengthy reign?

AJ Styles has been on one of the hottest runs ever after he turned heel nearly 5 months ago and began a feud with John Cena. He then became the first heel in a long time to not only beat him two times in singles matches but win the feud overall by beating him clean, which he did at Summerslam.

He is currently in a feud with Dean Ambrose, which he seemingly looks set to win in as well. After that is the Survivor Series match where he will likely be one of the key players on the Smackdown Live team in the traditional 5-on-5 inter-promotional  Survivor Series match. The question is, what happens after that?

According to a report from The Four3Four, AJ Styles’ next feud following Ambrose is going to be against Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble for the WWE World Championship.

This comes in an interesting time as AJ Styles recently stated in an interview that he wanted to face The Viper when given the chance. Given the fact that both work for the same brand which doesn’t have too much roster depth, their paths are bound to cross at some point or the other. And it looks like they may cross sooner than we expect.

The Viper is currently embroiled in a feud with Bray Wyatt, which has taken a supernatural turn. It is highly likely that he and his dance partner The Eater Of Worlds will both be part of the Smackdown Live Survivor Series team, which makes it possible for their feud to carry on a little bit longer.

Not long after Survivor Series  is the next Smackdown Live-exclusive PPV, TLC, which takes place on December 4th. That leaves a gap for just a 2-week buildup between Survivor Series and TLC.

It is surprising that the buildup will be so short, but it will most likely just be used to wrap up certain leftover feuds such as Orton-Wyatt, Styles-Ambrose, Becky Lynch-Alexa Bliss, Nikki Bella-Carmella,etc.

It can have more intensity added to it by adding stipulations. And the Nikki-Carmella match can finally have the right spot for the No Disqualification match that people have so desired for them to have.

After TLC, Raw has Roadblock just two weeks later, and from there onwards starts the build up for the co-branded Royal Rumble, the point from which The Road to Wrestlemania begins.
