WWE Rumors: Another Top WWE Star refuses to travel to Saudi Arabia
What's the story?
WWE makes their third trip to Saudi Arabia next month but whilst the relationship between the company and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is going from strength to strength, the controversy surrounding the country has left many WWE superstars refusing the make the trip once again.
In case you didn't know...
Ahead of Crown Jewel back in November, a number of WWE superstars refused to make the trip to The Middle East including Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Dean Ambrose, whilst Sami Zayn's Syrian descent meant that he wasn't allowed in the country.
Many WWE superstars are upset with the way Saudi Arabia treat homosexuals as well as a number of the punishments that are still considered legal in the country.
The heart of the matter
Last night it was reported that Kevin Owens had refused to travel to Saudi Arabia with WWE, which makes sense since he's Sami Zayn's best friend and he missed Crown Jewel last year due to injury. According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, Daniel Bryan has followed suit by refusing to travel to the country for the second time after declining the trip back in November and being reluctant to travel to The Middle East for The Greatest Royal Rumble over a year ago.
Aleister Black has reportedly also been added to this list since he won't be making the trip with the rest of the WWE roster and many more names are expected to pull out in the coming weeks as the controversy surrounding the country continues to make headlines all over the world.
What's next?
Many more names are expected to pull out of the show before June 7th but WWE already has a number of big names to make up the card so at present it hasn't reached the point where officials should be worried.
