WWE Rumors: Becky Lynch set to face Superstar she's never defeated at Royal Rumble 2020

Becky Lynch hasn't defended the RAW Women's Championship in nearly two months now. It's something that has left fans frustrated and from the looks of things, she won't be defending it at TLC either, as she's yet to appear in the build.

She will, of course, appear on the go-home show to get that big pop when she returns, according to Sportskeeda's own Tom Colohue on Dropkick DiSKussions:

"This is why we're not seeing much of Becky Lynch, so she gets a big pop this coming Monday where she runs out and saves Charlotte.

However, he also revealed the plans in place for the RAW Women's Championship at Royal Rumble 2020. According to Colohue, Asuka is the woman that will be challenging for the RAW Women's Championship at the PPV. This will be a rematch from Royal Rumble 2019 and Asuka is the one woman Becky Lynch hasn't beaten:

"They've been building a feud with Asuka, on the foreground and background, sort of. I can see that being a singles rematch next year at the Royal Rumble. Last year we had the exact same match at the Rumble for the other brand's championship and Asuka tapped Becky Lynch out, so I could see that being a rematch"

It makes sense, since Lynch, in the past month, has alluded to facing Asuka. It's something that they've slowly been working towards and the tag titles match at TLC will likely be to build that. This time around, however, we would imagine that Lynch would get her victory over The Empress.

It's certainly a great match to add to the Royal Rumble card as the two opened the show this past year and had a great showing. The two women have great chemistry in the ring and hopefully, we can see a good renewal of this rivalry. You can watch the full episode of Dropkick DiSKussions below:
