WWE Rumors: Braun Strowman still not ready to return from injury?
What's the story?
Braun Strowman will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble in just over three weeks. However, according to a new report, Strowman is still on the path back to recovery after elbow surgery and may still take some time to reach full fitness.
In case you didn't know...
Braun Strowman hasn't wrestled since mid-November when the 'Monster Among Men' was forced to undergo surgery to take of bone spurs in his elbow. Strowman had already been scheduled to face then-acting General Manager of Monday Night RAW Baron Corbin.
However, when TLC came about, Strowman was still unable to compete and with the match being No DQ, got help from Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, Kurt Angle. Finn Balor, Apollo Crews and Heath Slater to finally rid RAW of the power-hungry Corbin.
The heart of the matter
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the 'Monster Among Men' may not be fully fit to wrestle just yet. It looks like Strowman may still need a couple of weeks to return to full fitness which means that the next time we see Braun Strowman wrestle could be at the Royal Rumble at the end of January.
Fans wondered why the segment between Strowman and Lesnar on RAW was, for the lack of a better word, so strange. It ended with Brock circling the ring with Strowman in it before walking away. Strowman still not being fully fit could be why the altercation didn't get physical and WWE kept the two at arms' length.
What's next?
The WWE Royal Rumble takes place from Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on 27th January, 2019. Who will leave with the WWE Universal Championship - Brock Lesnar or Braun Strowman?
