WWE Rumors: Dean Ambrose could be turning heel soon to face a former Shield-mate
What’s the story?
Stillrealtous.com recently reported that Dean Ambrose was moved to Raw for a specific reason. According to the website, WWE wants him to turn heel over the following months and feud with a former Shield-mate soon.
In case you didn't know...
After spending many months on SmackDown Live, Dean Ambrose was drafted to Raw, as part of the Superstar Shake-Up. He carried the Intercontinental Championship to the red brand and is currently feuding with The Miz.
Ambrose also secretly got married to his long-time girlfriend Renee Young, who is still part of SmackDown Live. WWE fans have been wondering why the couple would be separated so soon, after their blissful union. This rumour sheds light on the same and unveils a new possibility.
The heart of the matter
The report speculates that Dean Ambrose will be turning heel very soon, to feud with his former ally- Seth Rollins. While the two men have faced each other in the past, Rollins was the heel whereas Ambrose was the babyface.
This time, the report says, WWE wants to turn the equation on its head and change the dynamics. At this moment, it is not clear whether this feud will be for the Intercontinental Championship. It is expected to begin once Seth Rollins concludes his program with Samoa Joe and Dean Ambrose finishes his long-standing rivalry with The Miz.
What’s next?
Another rumour doing the rounds is that Dean Ambrose was brought to SmackDown Live so that Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns can reform The Shield. We will have to wait and watch, to gauge which direction WWE decides to head in.
Author's take
Both Ambrose and Rollins have lost a lot of momentum, over the years. Both their characters need a facelift, and a program between the two men can achieve just that. Ambrose has never really played a heel, so this would be a welcome change as well. Anything that would shake things up, is honestly a ‘go’ for me!
