What’s the story?

Roman Reigns is back and WWE have already teased a reunion of The Shield. They have been dropping way too many hints about it and now, Dean Ambrose's role at Fastlane is well and truly connected to it.

In case you didn’t know…

Ambrose's contract with WWE is up after WrestleMania and it has already been announced that he will be leaving the company as he is not renewing. While there are a lot of indications that it is nothing for a 'work', people are still waiting to see the official statement before jumping to conclusions.

Roman Reigns commented on the contract situation of the Lunatic Fringe and said he will “take care of” Ambrose leaving WWE. However, the fact that WWE have scheduled Ambrose for an 8 AM spot at WrestleMania Axxess indicates that it might actually be his final few appearances in WWE.

The heart of the matter

Matches for Fastlane are all set to be announced this week with the Pay-Per-View taking place on Sunday. A leaked screenshot suggested that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were set to take on Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and former Raw GM-Elect, Baron Corbin.

PostWrestling are now reporting that Dean Ambrose will not be added into the match until the very end but will certainly be a part of it.

What’s next?

One thing for sure right now is that there will be a reunion of The Shield once again this week. Whether it will be on Monday Night RAW, like they teased last week, or will it on happen at Fastlane, we will have to wait and watch.

It will also be interesting to see how things pan out on RAW and also why Ambrose decides not to join them initially.
