WWE Rumors: Dean Ambrose vs Nia Jax reportedly no longer happening
What's the story?
Dean Ambrose vs Nia Jax was originally planned to take place at an upcoming WWE live event, but it appears that WWE has changed their mind and canceled the match.
In case you didn't know...
Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax first had a confrontation two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw when Jax decided to attack Ambrose from behind and knock him out of the ring. The Moral Compass of WWE then addressed Jax this past week when he stated that Jax was having an issue with his "raw sexual magnetism."
This led to advertisements that Nia Jax vs Dean Ambrose was set to take place at a WWE live event in the near future, which had fans believing that the company could be happy to see men against the women once again.
The heart of the matter
According to a report by John Pollock at Post Wrestling, the advertisement for the match on Friday, February 22nd at a live event in Jonesboro, Arkansas as an “Intergender Special Attraction" wasn't accurate.
WWE reportedly reached out to Post Wrestling to state that the ad was outdated, which means that this match won't be taking place at the live event. It is currently unknown which match will take its place instead.
What's next?
Dean Ambrose will be looking to pick up a rivalry on WWE TV, hopefully with EC3 in the coming weeks since Elimination Chamber is this weekend and The Lunatic Fringe still doesn't have a match as part of the show. It is also well-known now that his contract expires in April, so Ambrose will be looking to make a statement at WrestleMania.
