WWE Rumors: Diamond Dallas Page to get inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame?
Diamond Dallas Page came into the business of professional wrestling quite late, but his impact cannot be undersold. He is a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. However, over the last few years, he has been more famous for his DDP Yoga program that has helped thousands of people across the globe.
Among the people who use it are Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Jake “ The Snake” Roberts, Darren Young, Scott Hall and more. DDP has gone on the record and said that about 40 people in WWE use DDP Yoga.
This year, the documentary titled The Resurrection Of Jake The Snake was released. The documentary featured Diamond Dallas Page helping Jake The Snake Roberts overcome his demons of addiction and help get him back into shape.
It also features DDP helping Scott Hall on a similar journey. While Hall has relapsed time and again, Jake Roberts has been alcohol-free for a while now. It also showed the moment of joy when Jake told DDP that WWE was inducting him into the Hall Of Fame.
DDP got to do the honours of inducting the legendary Jake The Snake Roberts into the 2014 Hall Of Fame, an event that also saw Scott Hall getting inducted.
WrestlingDVDNetwork.com reported that the first Superstar-themed DVD and Blu-ray release of WWE will feature former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page. There is no word yet on the exact format of the release but it’s expected to feature lots of new interview footage.
The set is scheduled for a March release, just in time for a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction for DDP.
This would undoubtedly be one of the most well-deserved inductions yet. DDP’s contributions to the business transcend just what he did inside the ring for over a decade. The fact that DDP Yoga has helped so many wrestlers maintain their careers and longevity alone gives him the credibility.
As seen this year when Sting headlined the Hall Of Fame Class of 2016, it does not require a long WWE career to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Since WCW was bought out by WWE, they don’t seem to have any issues inducting non-tenured former stars into their Hall Of Fame.
Not to mention the fact that DDP makes sporadic appearances and is on very good terms with the WWE already gives him a boost for an induction. Perhaps Jake Roberts could do the favours and induct DDP into the HoF.
