WWE Rumors: Hulk Hogan's return to the WWE might happen sooner than thought

He’s baaaaack

Yes, it seems like the WWE’s pushing this boat out to sea now that the storm’s died down. Reports have emerged that the relationship between the WWE and Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan has ameliorated – so much so that Vince McMahon and his cabinet might even throw open the doors for him.

According to dailywrestlingnews.com, the WWE believes that the legend is still very marketable and are just focusing on timing his return perfectly.

The WWE wiped any traces of Hogan’s existence from the organisation after he was caught on tape saying the n-word, although the recording was published illegally. The 62-year-old’s profile was removed from the WWE Hall Of Fame and vendors stopped selling his merchandise. He was even replaced as a judge on Tough Enough by The Miz.

Hogan sued Gawker for defamation, loss of privacy, and emotional pain in the now-sensational trial that saw him being awarded $115 million. He was funded by billionaire entrepreneur and investor Peter Thiel, who was outed by the website a few years ago.

Gawker filed for bankruptcy after the trial and are reportedly being bought by IGN owner Ziff Davis for $90 million. Ironically, Hogan is now on a committee that seeks to protect the interests of Gawker’s creditors and see to it that they recover as much of the debts they are owed.
