WWE Rumors: Indy star Crazy Mary Dobson done with NXT

Crazy Mary Dobson in the WWE

What’s the story?

Wrestling Inc is reporting that Crazy Mary Dobson, who wrestled under the name Sarah Bridges in WWE NXT, could have left the company.

The Context

Dobson was signed by the WWE in November after putting together a good career on the Independent scene. Her gimmick was that of a crazed woman who would do anything to win a match and capture gold. According to fans across social media who saw her work, she was the perfect fit for WWE.

When she was signed by the company, everybody assumed that she would succeed in either developmental or on the main roster to further enhance the WWE Women’s division. However, it didn’t quite work out that way.

The heart of the matter

According to Wrestling Inc., there are a few clues that indicate that Dobson is done with the WWE after just four months. They said:

“Dobson was at WrestleMania Axxess this past weekend, but has since restored her "Crazy" Mary Dobson indy name on her Twitter account and removed NXT from her bio. She also re-opened her ProWrestlingTees site and is once again taking bookings.”

What’s next?

WWE NXT’s Women’s division lost a future competitor who could’ve played a pivotal role in moulding the next generation of women. Outside of Asuka and Ember Moon, there aren’t many challengers for the championship.

Author’s take

Dobson’s departure opens up a spot for someone who wants to be a championship contender. Triple H understands that the wheel must keep turning. This is why the likes of Drew McIntyre and Kassius Ohno have been signed to fill the holes left by main roster call-ups. Even though Dobson’s leaving doesn’t make it easier, the WWE will once again utilise the “next man up” mentality.
