WWE Rumors: Interesting update regarding the future of the WWE Women's Division
What's the story?
The women of WWE made history last year when they were given their own pay-per-view for the first time in the history of the company, but it appears that this won't be happening again in 2019.
In case you didn't know...
Evolution was considered a huge success and the women of WWE were able to put on a show that rivaled the men, who were set to head out to Saudi Arabia just days after their pay-per-view was broadcast.
The women from WWE's past and present all took part in the event that was streamed live on October 28th last year and saw Ronda Rousey main event by defending her Women's Championship against Nikki Bella. Interestingly, this was the last time Nikki Bella was seen in a WWE ring.
The heart of the matter
According to a recent report by Rajah, the entire 2019 pay-per-view card has been released and there is no listed all women's pay-per-view. Of course, this was the case last year but WWE left October open without a pay-per-view for this purpose, the company hasn't done the same thing this year.
This means that the most the women can hope for is a pay-per-view sandwiched between two other events which would only allow for around two weeks build following the previous outing.
What's next?
The issue that WWE has right now is that the company has given the women all of this history and now they have to keep repeating it every year. There now has to be a women's Rumble and a Women's Elimination Chamber and it is probably becoming hard for the creative team to put everything into the events ahead of time.
