WWE Rumors: Could Jeet Rama join new stable led by Jinder Mahal?
What’s the story?
NXT is taping television shows last night at Full Sail University and Still Real To Us has reported that Jeet Rama was accompanied to the ring by the Bollywood Boys. This could hint at the fact that Rama could join the new stable led by Jinder Mahal, that includes the Bollywood Boys in the near future. Rama faced off against Maxx Stardom in one-on-one action.
In case you didn’t know...
This week on SmackDown Live, Jinder Mahal surprisingly became the number one contender for Randy Orton’s WWE Championship. Mahal defeated Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, and Sami Zayn in a six pack challenge to win the opportunity to fight for WWE’s grandest prize at the upcoming SmackDown exclusive PPV event, Backlash.
During the match, the Bollywood Boys appeared from below the ring wearing white suits to assist Jinder in winning the match. They grabbed Sami Zayn’s leg as he was going for his finishing manoeuvre, the Helluva Kick.
Rama has been entrenched in the NXT developmental system since signing with the WWE in June of 2015. The Bollywood Boys joined the WWE in the summer of 2016 to compete in the Cruiserweight Classic on the WWE Network.
The heart of the matter
Since Jinder Mahal became the number one contender to the WWE Championship, it’s been reported right here at Sportskeeda that the WWE is set to create a stable consisting of Indian performers.
The Bollywood Boys appear to be a part of it as they’ve already involved themselves with Mahal. With Jeet Rama now being accompanied to the ring by the Bollywood Boys, it’s reasonable to deduce that he will be involved in the new stable as well.
What’s next?
The WWE and Jinder Mahal certainly have a story to tell now that he is in the thick of the main event scene on SmackDown Live. Mahal has never had a Championship opportunity so it’s surprising that he’s been pushed out of the blue to the top of the card.
The follow-up on this story needs to be perfect for the WWE if it's to be successful. An Indian stable is an effective way to tell the story while also elevating new talent like Rama and the Bollywood Boys.
Author’s take
The Jinder Mahal win this week on SmackDown Live was a shocking turn of events. Personally, I couldn’t believe my eyes. So far, I love the follow-up though. The fact that Jeet Rama is involved with the Bollywood Boys and the Bollywood Boys are linked with Jinder Mahal leads me to believe that the reports are correct and that a stable is on the verge of being forged between the four men.
This will be a nice addition to SmackDown Live and Rama’s talent will help get Mahal over as a top star. If I would have written that sentence five days ago, you would have said I’ve lost my mind. SmackDown Live truly is the land of opportunity.
