WWE Rumors: John Cena Or Chris Jericho To Win ‘Royal Rumble’ 2017 And Main Event WrestleMania 33

Cena is a two-time Royal Rumble winner.

As the road to Wrestlemania begins, various possibilities have emerged regarding the winner of the Royal Rumble 2017. It is evident that WWE is pulling out every trick out of the book to make the 2017 edition of the Royal Rumble a memorable one.

The guaranteed participation of Goldberg and Brock Lesnar along with the possibility of The Undertaker facing AJ Styles has gathered the interest of the fans.

Regarding the Royal Rumble match, there have been several rumours regarding the winner of the match. According to inquisitr.com, The WWE Leaks have reported that Chris Jericho’s odds have dropped from 8/1 to 5/1 at Paddy Power and 10/1 to 8/1 at Betfair.

Another man who’s odds have fallen is “The Leader Of Cenation” himself who has 5/1 odds at Paddy Power.

Chris Jericho is having one of the best runs of his career so far and is involved in a major storyline as the WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens’ best friend, The visual of Jericho being betrayed by Owens and their ultimate face-off for the title at Wrestlemania after winning the Rumble might be possible given the odds at this stage.

The WWE might play in the fact that Jericho has never won a rumble in his career to spice things up between the two buddies.

WWE teased a potential separation of the duo on the last week’s edition of RAW, but it ultimately ended up being a setup. The WWE have booked this pair with uncertainty, which is good considering the success they have gathered so far.

With Cena taking time off currently and the visual of the historic championship win appearing in the distance, the odds are slightly more in favour of Cena. The situation that WWE might book is a victory for Cena at the rumble and a defeat for Styles at the hands of The Undertaker at the event, which will lead to the “dream match” at Wrestlemania where Cena will finally achieve his dream and the 26-year long career of the “The Phenom” will finally come to an end.

Apart from this, another wrestler who is rumoured to win the Rumble is “The Demon King” Finn Balor. Despite the shoulder injury, Balor might be medically cleared to win at the event and win back the title he never lost.

The choice of these two wrestlers as the winners make sense in the storyline point of view with Jericho vs. Owens and Cena vs. Undertaker having enough quality to deliver at the grandest stage of them all.
