WWE Rumors: Kevin Owens favorite to win Money In The Bank briefcase

Soon, Kevin, soon

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the tastes of the WWE Universe have changed. Characters with more shades of gray like Dean Ambrose and Enzo and Cass are winning over more fans compared to the Captains America and Supermen.

Which is why it should come as no surprise when cagesideseats.com reports that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens is the frontrunner to win the Money In The Bank ladder match. Whether they’ve gleaned is through betting odds or backstage talk is unspecified, but that’s secondary, if the report is indeed true.

The Prizefighter’s first year on the main roster has been amongst the most successful, with meaty feuds and two championship reigns. Owens cut his teeth on RAW with a feud against the face that runs the place, John Cena, defeating him clean in a match at last year’s Elimination Chamber PPV.

Owens then battled Cesaro, with his hands raised both times, before getting a shot at gold. Owens bullied the Big Guy, Ryback at Night Of Champions to his first Intercontinental Championship win.

A feud with Dean Ambrose followed, which culminated in what was arguably the match of the night at this year’s Royal Rumble. Owens’ violent style and silver tongue have reportedly won over Vince McMahon, who was a doubter at first.
