WWE Rumors: Lucha Dragons in for a major split
With two weeks for WrestleMania 32, WWE would look to maximize the hype and plug existing loopholes in the on-going storylines in the weeks to come. This week on Smackdown, Kalisto accepted Ryback’s challenge and set up a United States Title match for WrestleMania 32.
This has given rise to speculation of the Lucha Dragons splitting up for good and paving the way for the unheralded rise of Kalisto as the next Rey Mysterio. What adds to the report is Sin Cara debuting a much darker look on RAW this past week, pointing to the inevitable heel turn being just around the corner.
WWE’s apparent urge to push Kalisto in the same vein as Rey Mysterio is no secret and the first step in doing the same would be to let both the masked luchadors go their separate ways. While things look promising for Kalisto post the proposed split, it ain’t all hunky dory for his fellow countryman.
Sin Cara has been relevant majorly due to the Lucha Dragons and the split could make or break his future in the company. His rumored heel turn could either push him up the cards or send him straight back to NXT.
