WWE Rumors: Neville returning next week, will feud with Chris Jericho

He’s coming for you, Y2J

After being forced to the sidelines for four months, Neville will most probably return to WWE programming next week. The acrobat fractured his ankle in a match against Chris Jericho on the March 14th episode of RAW. According to cagesideseats.com The Man That Gravity Forgot hasn’t forgotten the incident and will pick up where he left off against Chris Jericho.

A week after making his main roster debut last March, Neville faced then WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a losing effort. Neville’s most prominent feud was with former WWE Superstar Stardust, which climaxed in a victory at SummerSlam where he teamed with ‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell.

The 29-year-old Englishman had stints with several promotions including Pro Wrestling Guerilla, TNA and NJPW before signing with WWE and debuting in NXT in 2012. Neville beat Bo Dallas to win the NXT Championship in 2014.

Neville, real name Benjamin Satterley, would go on to set the record for the longest NXT Championship reign at 287 days, one that was eclipsed only by Finn Balor (292 days). Neville was also NXT’s inaugural tag team champion. In 2013, he captured the title for a second time when he partnered with Corey Graves. He is the only Superstar in NXT history to have won both the NXT Championship and the tag titles.
