WWE Rumors: NXT to go live in 2017
According to a report from third party source, F4WOnline.com, WWE is examining the opportunity of making NXT a live show every week, on Wednesday. The said move will mark a significant change from their current arrangements, which has NXT taped weeks in advance.
Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, has been a home for NXT, as most of their tapings take place there. The location is convenient for the WWE officials, as it is easier to get the talent flown in, week in week out, in a case of any contingencies.
NXT has a fair share of experience with going live, as they have been running Takeover specials live multiple times a year. However, to run the entire TV show live every week would be a different ball game altogether, and making the switch may cause some issues for the WWE.

While the reason behind making NXT live has not been revealed; Wrestlingrumours.net believes that it would not benefit the company, because they would end up paying all the extra cost for production as well as in bringing all of the talents in, every single week.
Even though the above-stated situation would arise only if the subscriber count doesn't shoot up, it does seem like a vague possibility that WWE might not be able to make much difference to their viewership with this move.
Another reason for WWE to make NXT live could be to avoid spoilers, as it hampers their overall viewership. The TV shows are taped weeks ahead, and the seemingly possible move might prevent the spoilers from spoiling their ratings.
