WWE Rumors: Officials already planning big match for Wrestlemania 36
What’s the story?
With Wrestlemania 35 about two weeks away, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that WWE is already planning a big match for next year’s Wrestlemania.
In case you didn’t know…
Wrestlemania 35 is on the horizon, with most of the matches fixed. While some matches have generated a huge buzz, like Kofi Kingston’s road to Wrestlemania, Roman vs Drew and the all-women triple threat main event, others have failed to do so. The card was formed completely only recently, which has garnered WWE some criticism for sloppy writing.
However, Wrestlemania is a brand unto itself and has generated buzz regardless of WWE’s shortcomings. Next year’s Wrestlemania will be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
The heart of the matter
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that the WWE officials are planning ahead for Wrestlemania 36, and this might influence the Triple Threat main event of this year’s Wrestlemania. The WON’s exact words were:
“The plan is also to come out of this match with a clear direction for next year’s WrestleMania.”
This means that Ronda Rousey might lose the title and come back for revenge after taking a brief hiatus from the company. One could also speculate that Charlotte winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship might lead to all the Four Horsewomen of the WWE closing out the event with titles aloft. This might also lead to the heavily rumored Four Horsewomen of the WWE vs Four Horsewomen of MMA. Nothing is clear right now and has already started generating buzz for next year.
What’s next?
Vince McMahon tends to change things on the fly, so there is a huge possibility that things WWE have planned right now, may not happen at all.
With the annual extravaganza less than two weeks away, the entire wrestling world is focused on Wrestlemania 35. Let’s hope that this WM exceeds expectations.
