WWE Rumors: Possible spoilers regarding former World Champion being inducted into Hall of Fame 2019
What's the story?
As per WrestleVotes (via Cagesideseats.com), it is being reported that Taz and The Honkey Tonk Man could be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
In case you didn't know...
Peter Senerchia, also known as Taz, is not only a former Hardcore Champion in WWE, but is also a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion.
While Taz was much-like the Samoa Joe of today during his ECW days, rummaging through his opponents and making them submit in a matter of minutes, WWE fans will remember him more like the color commentator on SmackDown during the 2000s.
The Honkey Tonk Man is another WWE Legend who has waited long enough to get a Hall of Fame induction. He is famous for his record-setting 64-week long reign as the Intercontinental Champion.
Honkey Tonk, whose real name is Wayne Farris, currently works on the independent wrestling scene and made his last appearance for WWE in 2013. He is also the first cousin of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler.
The heart of the matter
It is great that WWE might be considering these two Superstars for the biggest sign of respect in the business.
If true, then the class of 2019 is shaping up to be extraordinary with these two legends along with already announced faction - DX, which includes Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, X-PAC, Road Dog and Billy Gunn.
What's next?
The event will take place the same weekend as WrestleMania 35 which will take place on April 7, 2019 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
There is speculation that The Undertaker might be headlining the Hall of Fame this year, although there have been no confirmations.
