What's the story?

Ric Flair's 70th birthday celebrations had many legendary names in attendance, however, his daughter Charlotte Flair was notably absent from the proceedings.

There was a report floating around that Charlotte was backstage on Raw and was not used during the main event segment. The report has turned out to be false as WrestlingInc has revealed that the former Women's Champion was at a different location altogether during the latest episode of Raw.

In case you didn't know...

The Nature Boy's much-hyped birthday party descended into chaos as Batista returned and attacked the WWE Hall of Famer. The Animal executed the vicious attack in order to send a message to Triple H, who he would most likely face at WrestleMania 35.

The show ended with The Game and the WWE medics attending to a visibly hurt Flair, who later took to Twitter to comment on the assault.

Sting, Shawn Michaels and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat were some of Flair's rivals who showed up on Raw. However, it was quite a surprise to see Charlotte Flair and Randy Orton give the event a miss considering their history with the 16-time WWE Champion.

The heart of the matter

Both Orton and Charlotte were not even backstage on Raw as the SmackDown superstars were busy at a blue brand live event in Savannah, GA.

Charlotte took on Asuka in a SmackDown Women's title match while The Viper teamed up with Samoa Joe to take on Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy.

It should be noted that both The Apex Predator and The Queen lost their respective matches at the house show.

What's next?

Charlotte should be back on SmackDown to continue the build-up to the Raw Women's title feud for WrestleMania 35. As for her illustrious dad, it would be interesting to see his role in the Batista-Triple H storyline heading into the Show of Shows.
