What's the story?

As you know, Elimination Chamber saw the suspended superstar Becky Lynch walk into the ring in a pair of crutches. She not only attacked Charlotte Flair, but she assaulted RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey as well, causing her to bleed.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this was something that Ronda Rousey specifically wanted to happen.

In case you didn't know...

Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch was the originally scheduled main event of WrestleMania 35. Lynch suffered a storyline knee injury and was told to get it checked so she would be cleared to compete at WrestleMania.

After a conflict with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, she finally agreed to do so and was cleared to compete. However, Vince McMahon came out and pulled her from the main event, replacing her with Charlotte Flair.

She was also suspended for 60 days and it gets over five days after WrestleMania. This hasn't stopped her from forcing herself into the arena and causing havoc anyway.

The heart of the matter

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ronda Rousey made a specific request to be hit as hard as possible. The Observer noted:

There was an agreement regarding this angle that Rousey wanted Lynch to hit her as hard as she could, so she did. Rousey ended up cut in the elbow and needed stitches, and was bleeding heavily from the side of the head, although she didn’t take stitches for that.

They further added that Rousey may have made the same request when being beaten down by Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series. This was the aftermath of Rousey's beatdown at Elimination Chamber.

It's great to see that Rousey has no hesitation in putting others over and giving back. It proves that she's a team player, and if she does lose at WrestleMania, there's no doubt that she'll be more than happy to take the fall.

What's next?

With her back-to-back wins against Ruby Riott, Rousey has secured her spot at WrestleMania and will not be defending her title at Fastlane.
