What's the story?
According to respected Pro Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several top WWE Superstars are reportedly looking into other options outside of the company.
In case you didn't know...
These past few days have been absolutely historic in the world of Professional Wrestling, given that former WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) made his triumphant return to the business as he made his shocking debut for the newly inaugurated All Elite Wrestling.
Moxley, upon his debut at Double or Nothing, attacked former WWE World Champion, Chris Jericho and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega. The following day, Moxley once again made another historic announcement on social media, as he revealed himself as the next big New Japan Pro Wrestling signee.
And in his recent interview with Chris Jericho on Talk is Jericho, Moxley revealed several prominent backstage details during his run with the WWE and how he was disappointed with the company's creative team. Moxley's interview became the hot topic of conversation and it became absolutely viral, much like CM Punk's interview with Colt Cabana following his departure from the WWE in 2014.
The heart of the matter
Jon Moxley's departure from the WWE and eventual signing with AEW and NJPW has certainly shaken up the Pro Wrestling world and as it appears, Moxley is apparently not the only WWE star who has had the thoughts of potentially leaving the company and signing for another top promotion instead.
As per The Observer's Dave Meltzer, there are a number of WWE stars who are keen on leaving the company at this point and some of the particular names would rather shock the fans, as well. Meltzer additionally noted that the Superstars who are interested in leaving WWE right now are also looking for other options and outside opportunities.
In recent months, notable Superstars such as Sasha Banks, Luke Harper, and The Revival have all reportedly asked for their releases.
What's next?
With All Elite Wrestling now operating in full swing, it will definitely be interesting to keep a note of how things unfold in the next few months.
