WWE Rumors: The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns will be the main event of WrestleMania 33
What’s the story?
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker will probably main event WrestleMania 33. This was first reported by our Featured Columnist Billi Bhatti at Sportskeeda. You can find our original report here.
In case you didn’t know…
The Undertaker is currently 23-1 at WrestleMania and many expect him to do the honours for Reigns at WrestleMania 33. This storyline began at The Royal Rumble when Reigns eliminated The Deadman, and it progressed further when the two had a staredown on the Raw after Fastlane.

Previously, the Universal Championship match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar was expected to main event WrestleMania 33. The match between Taker and Reigns was originally supposed to go on second to last.
The heart of the matter
The report claims that the Goldberg-Brock Lesnar match is now expected to go on second to last. It was also reported that this change was made after internal voting and debating. There is also speculation that this will be The Undertaker’s last WrestleMania match, but Meltzer is yet to confirm or deny this.
What’s next?
This booking will give WWE, a chance to perfectly book the post-match storyline as this will be the last match on the show. Generally, after every Undertaker victory at WrestleMania, there is a post-match celebration where The Deadman does his trademark pose and walks into the darkness with his fist raised. Will we ever see it again?
Author’s take
The WWE universe would love to see the dead man main event WrestleMania. This will also be an interesting proposition as the match between these two superstars is expected to last longer than Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar. If Roman Reigns beats the dead man, he will be booed by the WWE universe and by booking this match at the end, WWE can save Reigns by ending the show right after the match.
