The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter contained updates on the returns of The Usos and Sheamus.

It was revealed that the aforementioned Superstars are ready to return and are currently waiting on the WWE Creative to come up with an apt storyline.

Here's what Meltzer wrote in the Newsletter:

The Usos are scheduled back somewhat soon. Basically when they have an idea to bring them back. Also in that category is Sheamus. He’s been off and has spinal stenosis, which is not a good thing long-term for a wrestler. But he is ready to return and if a storyline is there, he would be brought back.

The WWE is gearing up for a very important phase as the company will move SmackDown to the Fox Network from October 4th onwards. AEW's weekly TV show will also be up and running around the same time and WWE needs established faces to get themselves over on the new network. The returns of The Usos and Sheamus will be a big shot in the arm for the WWE.

Where have The Usos and Sheamus been?

Jimmy Uso was arrested on a DUI charge on July 25th in Pensacola, Florida. Due to the arrest and his past legal troubles, Canadian authorities blocked Jimmy from entering the country for the SummerSlam PPV which took place in Toronto and the company was forced to take the tag team off TV.

The 6-time tag team Champions have not appeared on TV ever since the DUI arrest and are expected to move to SmackDown Live after they return, as per Dave Meltzer.

Sheamus has not been seen on WWE TV since the April 7th episode of SmackDown Live. The 4-time WWE Champion has been on the sidelines recuperating from a spinal stenosis injury, which is not considered to be a good thing with regards to a performer's long-term career. There were reports of Sheamus possibly calling time on his career but that is thankfully not going to happen.

However, Sheamus has revealed in recent interviews that he is ready to return and is just waiting for the right angle to get involved in. He even hinted about going after the Intercontinental Championship - the only title currently missing from his resume - upon his comeback to TV.

The Usos and Sheamus should ideally be back during the next Draft, which is scheduled to take place on October 11th and 14th on SmackDown and RAW respectively,
