WWE Rumors: Triple H & Seth Rollins feud pushed because of the return of Goldberg and The Undertaker
The Rollins vs. Triple H feud has taken a backseat currently on Monday Night RAW. After Goldberg’s return and his subsequent match at Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar, WWE seems to have put the Rollins vs. Triple H match on the backburner according to Inquistr.
Originally slated for WrestleMania 33, the seeds of the match between Hunter and Seth were sown on August 29th on Monday Night RAW, when Triple H made an appearance to crown Kevin Owens as the new WWE Universal Champion at the expense of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
Recently, rumours from Inquisitr surfaced that stated the WWE officials might be bringing up the clash to occur at the Royal Rumble. Next year's Rumble is scheduled to take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas which has a capacity of 60,000. It’s clear WWE officials wanted a match involving big names to draw more viewers for the event.
However, the situation has changed drastically in the past couple of weeks. Both Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have announced their participation in the 30 man Royal Rumble match. Also, there is a looming possibility of the Undertaker taking on WWE World Champion AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble.
According to more recent reports from Inquisitr, with Goldberg agreeing to work a few more matches, Vince and Co. have the liberty to push the highly anticipated clash between Triple H and Rollins to its original slot of WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
Brock was originally slated to compete for the WWE Universal title at the Royal Rumble, and a plan had been made for Shane to try and conquer the Beast at WrestleMania. Rollins is currently embroiled in a rivalry with Chris Jericho.
Jericho has been quite the obstacle in Rollins’ way of winning the WWE Universal Championship. The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla has taken it into himself to ensure Kevin Owens’ run with the title remains intact at the expense of Rollins and Reigns. However, Rollins did get some retribution this week on RAW when he Pedigreed Chris Jericho on top of a car.
But with Roman Reigns moving into the Universal Title picture, Seth Rollins is free to reignite his rivalry with Triple H in his quest for the answers to the events that transpired on the 29 August episode of Monday Night RAW.
