WWE Rumors: Undertaker will not feature on the reported WrestleMania 35 card

What's the story?

Speculation regarding The Undertaker's availability for WrestleMania 35 has naturally picked up steam as we are on the cusp of entering WrestleMania season.

Staunch Undertaker fans better look away as a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that the Phenom is currently not scheduled to be a part of the biggest show on WWE's calendar year.

In case you didn't know...

The Deadman's last match happened at WWE Crown Jewel when the Brothers of Destruction lost to D-Generation X in the main event of the Saudi Arabia event.

The 7-time WWE Champion began the year with a dominating win against John Cena at WrestleMania 34. He won his subsequent bout against Rusev at the Greatest Royal Rumble event and went into predictable hibernation until he was called upon for the 'Last Time Ever' clash against Triple H at Super Show-Down.

The Game defeated Undertaker with the help of Shawn Michaels that effectively set up the in-ring return of the Heart Break Kid. The first-time-ever tag team match between the Brothers of Destruction and D-Generation X was all about Michaels carrying the match despite working his first match in over 8 years.

While HBK isn't expected to wrestle again, the Undertaker's future seems to be shrouded in relative mystery.

The heart of the matter

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that the Undertaker's name is not on the proposed WrestleMania 35 card that has been doing the rounds backstage.

However, there is still a long way to go until the show of shows on April 7th and WWE could still rewrite the plans in order to accommodate their biggest Mania draw.

WWE sent out a mail this past Monday regarding new episodes of WWE Superstars and in the mail, labelled 'Taker as a WWE Hall of Famer alongside Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. Many felt that someone from the WWE botched up the mail and spoiled a possible surprise.

The mail also added fuel to Undertaker's retirement rumours and Meltzer's report pretty only makes the stronger.

What's next?

Undertaker has been in the public spotlight lately for his increased number of appearances at conventions and meet-and-greets. He was recently spotted with Impact Wrestling Stars Eli Drake and Taya Valkyrie at a trade show in Las Vegas.

Is the WWE icon actually done with wrestling or will he return for one final match before calling it quits on a legendary career?

Who would you like to see him go up against if he does come back for another match at WrestleMania 35?
