What's the story?

Sasha Banks was injured back at The Royal Rumble and has been unable to compete on Raw over the past few weeks, despite having a huge match at Elimination Chamber.

In case you didn't know...

Sasha Banks suffered a shoulder injury back at The Royal Rumble and has since been forced onto the sidelines. Banks and Bayley have qualified for the first ever Women's Tag Team Championship match inside the Elimination Chamber, even though Banks was unable to play a real part in any of their recent matches.

Monday Night on Raw, Banks was once again helped out of the arena after she was thrown into a barricade, which had a number of fans worried that the former Women's Champion wasn't cleared for the competition ahead of Elimination Chamber.

The heart of the matter

Banks was reportedly only partially cleared for competition on Monday Night, which was why she was able to take the barricade shot, but she wasn't completely cleared until yesterday.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer recently noted that Banks is now cleared for competition and will be available to start the match alongside Bayley from the number one position on Sunday night.

“Sasha Banks got cleared yesterday, so Monday she was partially cleared so that’s why she was able to take the barricade shot. So that was the deal on Monday and Tuesday she was cleared so she will be in the match and you know, she’s cleared for Sunday,” he said via Ringsidenews.

What's next?

Sasha Banks and Bayley are part of the first ever Women's Tag Team Championship match at Elimination Chamber on Sunday night and are considered to be the favorites to walk out with the titles.
