What's the story?

As per Fightful as well as PWInsider (via Cagesideseats.com), it has been reported that the Women's Tag Team Championship match was slated to go on last at the Elimination Chamber event as per the original plans.

However, Vince McMahon changed the plans Sunday afternoon as he believed that the Women's will not get the desired reactions for the main event slot.

This was not the only last minute change of plans that took place on the PPV.

The elimination of Naomi and Carmella early on during the Tag Team Elimination Chamber match was also a "change of plans”, presumably due to their outside the ring issues over the past few days, as per Bryan Alverez of WON.

In case you didn't know...

The Elimination Chamber PPV took place on February 17, 2019, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The show featured two Elimination Chamber matches - one for the WWE Championship and the other for the newly minted Women's Tag Team Championships.

Daniel Bryan defended his WWE Championship successfully against five other Superstars including Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles.

Sasha Banks and Bayley became the first Women's Tag Team Champions by winning their Elimination Chamber match.

The heart of the matter

Both the Chamber matches were spectacular and with the Women's Evolution in full swing, it is highly unlikely that the Women's Elimination Chamber match would have failed to get a reaction even if it went on last.

What's next?

It will be interesting to see what direction the newly crowned champions Sasha Banks and Bayley, better known as the Boss 'n' Hug connection will take the titles to, and who the next contenders for the belts will be.
