WWE Rumors: Vince McMahon was really mad with a recent match while it was going on

The recent Survivor Series PPV was considered to be a success overall, however, the main event ended up being one of the biggest disappointments of the year.

The Triple Threat match between Becky Lynch, Shayna Baszler and Bayley was an inconsistent mess and it didn't help that the Chicago fans were dead for this one.

Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon was 'really mad' while the match was going on.

Meltzer also addressed a big backstage rumor that was going around regarding the match. It was believed that McMahon was seen suggesting to the referee a few high spots for the Superstars to do during the match.

Meltzer stated that there were people in the company who denied the rumor but it was confirmed that the WWE boss was indeed quite unhappy with the closing match at Survivor Series.

Here's what he wrote in the WON:

"There were a few awkward spots, surprising since the bout was heavily worked on and practiced. It got so bad that Vince McMahon was really mad about it as it was going on. There was a story going around Vince was so mad he was telling the ref high spots for them to do as the match was going on, but those in the company have only said McMahon was mad, saying he had every right to be, but said he was not sending high spots to the referee while the match was going on."

While Shayna Baszler won the Triple Threat showdown featuring the three top women's Champions from RAW, SmackDown and NXT, the impact of the victory could have been much stronger had the match lived up to expectations.

WWE decided to let the match go on last as they wanted to put over the Queen of Spades in a big way. The company also felt that Becky Lynch's popularity would have helped the match in the main event slot.

However, the quality of the match was a far cry from what was expected and as mentioned earlier, Vince and the WWE officials have every right to be annoyed with the outcome.
