WWE Rumors: Massive WrestleMania 33 match in the works?
Last week at the WrestleManai 33 press conference, John Cena revealed that he won’t be wrestling at this year’s edition of the grandest event in sports entertainment, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be involved in a non-wrestling capacity in Dallas on April 3rd.
The WWE hasn’t offered Cena any physical role, but there is one big idea reportedly pitched to the Cenation leader. The idea is to have Cena interfere in the Shane McMahon-Undertaker Hell In a Cell match at WrestleMania. Vince is adamant on having Cena vs Taker and the interference at WrestleMania would set a future match between the two.
The match could happen at Summerslam or at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando next year if things go as planned. While Cena appearing in a creative role at WrestleMania 32 hasn’t been confirmed in any way, many are of the opinion that he would be in Dallas.
The Franchise Player has been putting in the extra hours in the gym and is working towards an early return which is expected of the workhorse. If Cena does end up wrecking Undertaker’s party at WrestleMania 32, expect the match to be built up a year in advance for WrestleMania 33, similar in the case of the Cena-Rock feud.
The Cena-Taker match is bound to happen and WrestleMania 32 could plant the seeds for the same.
