WWE Rumors: WWE finalises dates & locations for PPVs in the fall

The PPVs in the fall look tantalising

What’s the story?

According to 411MANIA, the WWE has confirmed and set the dates for the upcoming fall PPVs. The company will hold the events in Los Angeles, Detroit, and Minneapolis on September 24th, October 8th and October 22nd respectively.

While the names of the PPVs are yet to be revealed, it is expected that they will be Clash of Champions, No Mercy, and Hell In a Cell.

In case you didn't know...

Clash of Champions and Hell In a Cell are Raw-exclusive PPVs, whereas No Mercy is a PPV belongs to the blue brand. Many of the PPVs that have been held by the WWE since its formation were split up between the RAW and SmackDown Live brands after the WWE brand extension.

Events like Backlash, Money In the Bank, TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs and so on have become SmackDown Live exclusives, whereas events like Payback, Fastlane, and Extreme Rules are now RAW exclusives.

The heart of the matter

Based on the information provided by 411MANIA, it’s clear that the WWE is preparing extensively for the upcoming fall PPVs, with the dates being set well in advance. This could prove extremely beneficial for the WWE Universe, as they can look forward to great matchups.

The locations for the mentioned PPVs are all major cities in the United States (Los Angeles, Detroit, and Minneapolis) and this could mean that the WWE don’t plan on holding back.

What many people are most probably wondering is why the WWE have set the dates so early. A simple explanation as mentioned earlier is due to the fact that they may be preparing to put on a great show at the PPVs.

Another reason could be the influx of Superstars coming into the main stage, wrestlers like The Revival and Shinsuke Nakamura are all Superstars that the WWE Universe can hope to see performing in the near future at some of these PPVs.

What’s next?

With the way things are progressing, many fans can expect more of the same from the WWE, mainly because this plan to set the dates and locations beforehand will greatly improve the way the promotion functions during the course of the events.

This is true, especially in terms of the crowds we can expect for the PPVs, and with events like Money In the Bank coming up, the overall performance and presentation of the PPVs could be improved drastically.

Author’s take

This is a brilliant move by the WWE, mainly because it increases the fan interest for the PPVs. This is because on learning that the dates for future PPVs have been released, fans begin to look forward to the upcoming PPVs, and this could possibly lead to greater revenue and increase in fan following globally for the WWE.
