WWE Rumors: WWE planning a major angle with The Shield for RAW
What's the story?
After a long hiatus of 5 months, Roman Reigns finally made his comeback to RAW this past week, announcing that his leukemia is in remission and The Big Dog is back.
There have been reports that The Shiel will team with Braun Strowman at Fastlane to take on the team of Elias, Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin. However, for that to happen Dean Ambrose will have to re-join his brothers of Shield first.
In case you didn't know...
Roman Reigns had to leave WWE and relinquish his Universe Championship in October 2018 as he had been diagnosed with Leukemia and had to take time off for its treatment.
The Big Dog returned this past week on RAW to announce that the cancer is in remission and he can finally return to action. Reigns was greeted by Shield teammate Seth Rollins, however, the final member of The Shield - Dean Ambrose - did not come out.
Even so, Reigns and Rollins saved Ambrose from a vicious beatdown at the hands of Baron Corbin, McIntyre, Lashley and Elias later on the show, giving rise to a chance of The Shield's reunion.
The heart of the matter
There is good news for the WWE Universe, as Observer has reported that WWE is planning for an angle to take place on RAW next week which will reunite all three members of the Shield.
This could mean that Dean Ambrose will finally come around and join his brothers yet again. Ambrose has been lingering in the mid-card ever since his short-lived feud with Seth Rollins came to an end and this will be a good opportunity for The Lunatic Fringe to come back to prominence.
What's next?
While Seth Rollins is slated to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 35, there are still no plans for Reigns or Ambrose as of now.
