WWE Rumors: WWE reportedly has a plan for Asuka at WrestleMania 35
What's the story?
With Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair pursuing wrestling immortality by challenging Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, where does that leave the current SmackDown Live Women's Champion, Asuka?
According to WrestleVotes, the fact that so many women were being featured in the Elimination Chamber match actually curtailed any potential opponents for Asuka before WrestleMania.
Any foe for Asuka might be easier to see once the dust settles from the Women's Tag Team match at the Elimination Chamber. 411Mania.com carried the tweet.

In case you missed it
Since Asuka retained her title against Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble, she has been used on television sparingly.
And since she has already wrestled both Lynch and Charlotte Flair both a few times over the last year or so, the two most logical and best contenders for her are looking elsewhere where WrestleMania is concerned.
The heart of the matter
Due to Asuka's lack of visibility on TV over the last few weeks, a lot of fans have been wondering just what's going on with the Empress of Tomorrow.
A tweet from WrestleVotes didn't actually name an opponent but offered some clarity regarding the SmackDown Women's Champion's situation.
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are off chasing Ronda Rousey, depriving SmackDown of two of its top Superstars.
And since the Elimination Chamber match to crown the first-ever Women's Tag Team Champions has used the rest of the women on SmackDown, it didn't make sense for WWE to build to a title match for Asuka at the PPV.
The two ladies left who weren't in the chamber match were Lana and Zelina Vega, and as WrestleVotes noted, that's not a match WWE wanted for a PPV.
Lana is still green in the ring while Vega is still new to singles' competition and they may not want to sacrifice her to Asuka just to give the champ a match.
So even though Asuka hasn't been featured so much on TV lately, WWE does have a plan for Asuka at WrestleMania 35.
What's next?
Asuka has faced a lot of the top women on SmackDown Live already and WWE didn't want to do any more 'brand jumping' before WrestleMania other than the Lynch/Flair jumping.
The women's tag titles might blur the lines of the two shows and has been the focus of WWE currently, so perhaps her opponent wasn't as set in stone as Rousey's.
But since the two top options for Asuka at 'Mania will be off pursuing another champion, it might put the Empress of Tomorrow in a multi-woman match or one with someone from NXT.
WWE might have booked themselves into a corner by having three of the top women in WWE all in the same match in April.
Had someone like Ember Moon won the rumble (before she had to have surgery), that would have made things easier to book for WrestleMania since Flair and Lynch both had prior history with Rousey on which a match for 'Mania could have been built.
