What's the story?

The 2019 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is now just weeks away and it appears that the formatting for the show could be different to what fans have become accustomed to in recent years.

In case you didn't know...

The Hall of Fame Ceremony has already been moved back to the night before WrestleMania this year since the company were worried about the fact that many fans were skipping the show and instead flying in for NXT and WrestleMania on the Saturday and Sunday which is why the show has been moved back to the Saturday night and NXT will now take place on Friday.

The Hall of Fame Ceremony in the past has run much longer than the company had prepared for and knowing that WrestleMania is the following day means that many fans and superstars have been leaving the ceremony early.

The heart of the matter

It was reported a few weeks ago that the company was now refusing to allow any stars to leave the ceremony until it came to an end since last year's show saw Goldberg delivering his speech to a half-empty arena, but bigger changes are now expected.

Not only will speeches be given a time limit that they will be forced to stick to this time around, but X-Pac recently discussed his induction on Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast where he revealed that the company could be getting rid of inductors as well.

"Some things were explained to me when [Mark] Carano broke the news to me,he told me some things are going to change about the ceremony. Obviously, there were some things that were problems at pretty much of all the Hall of Fames, but especially last year. Guys just taking their sweet time [with their speeches].Things are gonna change,There may or may not be inductors. I mean, I've seen some inductors take 30 minutes to f---ing give their inductor's speech!" he said via WrestlingInc.

What's next?

This year's Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place the night before WrestleMania on April 6th, 2019.
