WWE Rumors: WWE sticking to the original plan for WrestleMania 35's main event

What's the story?

This week on Raw, Becky Lynch was suspended from WWE when she refused to be seen by a WWE doctor which has seemingly left her match with Ronda Rousey up in the air for WrestleMania.

In case you didn't know...

Becky Lynch isn't actually injured. The Lasskicker's current knee injury is part of a storyline that is allowing WWE to push Lynch against the authority as she hunts for the first ever Women's Wrestlemania main event.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion has been suspended indefinitely from the company by Stephanie McMahon before she attacked the Commissioner of Monday Night Raw, which definitely leaves her future in doubt, not to mention her match at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Lynch and Rousey had another face off backstage following her suspension as it appears that the company is building towards a one-on-one match between Lynch and Rousey, but according to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the plan for the match hasn't changed. [H/T RingsideNews]

“I know that there’s stuff going around that it’s Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch in a singles match — it is not for WrestleMania. I was told again today that — you can never say Vince won’t change his mind, but this one is pretty much a lock at this point that that’s gonna happen.”

What's next?

Charlotte Flair is expected to be added to this match in the coming weeks since a triple threat has been on the cards for the past few months, but Lynch's future in the company still hangs in the balance heading into Elimination Chamber.
