What’s the story?

Seth Rollins was close to making his in-ring return on Monday Night RAW but was not cleared to compete at the very end. It changed up a lot of things on RAW as Seth was set to be all over the show but ended up doing just a backstage interview.

And now, Wrestling Observer Radio have an update on his injury and possible in-ring return.

In case you didn’t know…

The Architect has been carrying an injury for some time but was still competing in-ring. His last matchup was against his former Shield-brother, Dean Ambrose on RAW – the night after Royal Rumble.

He was brutally attacked by Brock Lesnar as well on the same night, delivering as many as SIX F5s before leaving the ring. Rollins has been out of the Live Events and RAW ever since.

The heart of the matter

The injury Rollins is carrying is not a serious one and does not need surgery. However, as it is an issue with The L7 Disc in his back, he needs to have enough rest to recover completely.

WWE have listed Rollins for all RAW TV events from now, until WrestleMania but are not sure when to get him back in-ring for a match. He has been pulled out of all the Live Events as they want him to be near to 100% fit when he faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

What’s next?

Rumours suggest that Rollins and Lesnar will be face-to-face in next week's episode of Monday Night RAW but as of now, the Universal Champions is not scheduled to be at the event.
