WWE Rumours: Broken Matt Hardy coming to WWE?

Will Broken Matt work on WWE?

Matt Hardy has single-handedly managed to draw a large wrestling audience due to his bizarre Broken Matt Hardy character. It is a comedic-horror character that has helped draw several eyes to the often criticised product. The Final Deletion generated the most buzz about TNA than it had had in years. Most loved it, many hated it, but practically everyone in the wrestling realm was buzzing about it.

The Final Deletion created such a buzz that the WWE themselves could not help but do their own rendition of it, with the Wyatts and The New Day fighting at The Wyatts “compound”. Naturally, it didn’t get as much acclaim as the original. While Billy Corgan, the new TNA President took credit for the TNA idea, it was indeed Matt Hardy who was the money draw, and who made it what it is.

Can you imagine Broken Matt Hardy in the WWE realm? Apparently, it is not necessarily an impossibility as many thought. There is a rumour that Matt and Jeff are both interested in signing with WWE after their contract with TNA expires next year. If that is true, then it sure would be some great impact(no pun intended) that they are making now, before a possible return to WWE.

Jeff Hardy, who is now “Broken Brother Nero”, has stated multiple times that he wants to end his career in WWE. He stated that he wants to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, specifically in a Hell In a Cell match, and do a death-defying Swanton bomb off the top of the steel cage.

As for Matt Hardy, he has stated that if he returns, Bray Wyatt would be the opponent he would love to face the most. He said the following:

"I would love, one day down that road, to show up in WWE and have a match with the Bray Wyatt. I would love to bring him to my battlefield and delete him. That would be my honor”.

Unfortunately, one major issue in a Hardyz return, mainly for Jeff, is his troubled history with substances, which matter a great deal to WWE. Another issue with both is their age, but there is no doubt that they would still be a good draw in this day and age, especially if it is for their final run.
