WWE Rumours: Corey Graves could be moved up to SmackDown
WWE presenter Corey Graves could be set for a role on SmackDown along with Mauro Ranallo once the show goes live on the floors on the 19th of this month, according to Cagesideseats.com
Graves is set to be one of the first personalities up for a change in role once the brand split is reintroduced in WWE. The 32-year-old boasts of enviable experience in WWE, having worked extensively with NXT after the conclusion of his wrestling career, which had to be cut short prematurely due to concussion issues.
Despite having his wrestling career end sooner than expected, Graves has established quite a reputation for himself as a commentator and analyst, receiving critical acclaim for his work in NXT, Raw Pre-show and as a panelist during pay-per-views.
Graves also won accolades as a wrestler, picking up the NXT Tag Team Championship title alongside former tag team partner Neville.
Working for a newly separated SmackDown will certainly pose a massive challenge to Graves, but if his work in NXT is anything to go by, he’ll definitely be more than up to the task.
A SmackDown reunion will also be an emotional one for Corey, who made appearances for the brand more than a decade ago, when he was unceremoniously squashed by Mark Henry.
