WWE Rumours: Expected date for John Cena's RAW return revealed
What's the story?
As per the Rumor Roundup on Cagesideseats.com, it is being speculated that John Cena will be returning to RAW in January.
While he has stated in the past that he will not be used for television appearances, there is a high chance that he will, at least, make an appearance on RAW come January.
In case you didn't know...
John Cena is a former 16-time World Champion in WWE and was the poster boy for WWE for well over 10 years until the proverbial torch was passed to Roman Reigns.
John Cena has not been very active with WWE for the past few years, focusing more on his movie career. The Champ had his last match at the Super ShowDown event which took place in Australia where he teamed up with Bobby Lashley to make quick work of the team of Elias and Kevin Owens.
The heart of the matter
While Cena has not been very active as a wrestler as of late, there is no doubt that the 41-year-old always bring a certain level of excitement and interest every time he makes an appearance.
It has not been stated as to what capacity or role Cena will be returning in. Nor is it clear if he will be returning full time or just for one episode.
January is the month of the Royal Rumble, so it is possible that Cena will be announcing himself as a participant in the 30-man Royal Rumble match.
What's next?
There has been a lot of speculation around who John Cena will be facing at Wrestlemania this year, after his disastrous match against The Undertaker last year, where the Deadman put him to sleep in under 5 minutes.
Maybe his appearance on RAW will give us a clearer picture of things to come!
