WWE Rumours: Have we seen the last of Stardust?
WrestleMania 32 did not live up to its claim of being the biggest of all time but that was probably the best part about it. There weren’t really any “promises” heading into Dallas but we wound up with so many nuggets other than those implied that we couldn’t help feeling as though we got a windfall.
In fact, the whole WrestleMania weekend was full of tantalizations and one that didn’t go unnoticed was Stardust insinuating(at WrestleMania Axxess) that a loss at the Show of Shows would mean the return of the much-preferred Cody Rhodes.
Well, we all know how the match played out but are we taking the bait? This isn’t the first time this year we’ve caught wind of a potential return to his roots and if etched out well, it could prove a big fillip to the ever-erratic mid-card.
Stardust enjoyed a good push soon after his debut in 2014, catapulting into prominence in the tag team division as part of ‘The Brotherhood’ with Goldust. The pair would turn heel soon after and win the tag titles for the second time, before the storyline began to lose steam. Stardust has been left rudderless in the mid-card since and even a hint of a rematch with Stephen Amell at WrestleMania didn’t help.
