WWE Rumors: Sami Zayn set to join SmackDown Live roster
Sami Zayn has been one of the fastest-rising stars in the WWE in recent times and has enjoyed great support from the WWE Universe. During this year’s WWE Draft, Zayn was picked up by Raw but the Red brand’s general manager, Mick Foley, and commissioner, Stephanie McMahon, have somehow failed to unlock his potential.
On the latest episode of Raw, the former NXT champion had a fallout with Foley which not only showed his frustration about the way he is being handled but also hinted towards a possible brand switch for him.
This incident has sparked off rumours that Zayn may actually be signed up by Daniel Bryan to join the SmackDown Live roster. Bryan had already confirmed a few days back that Sami Zayn is one of the Raw superstars who is interested in joining the blue brand and so it is likely that the switch may indeed happen.
The SmackDown General Manager gave rise to further speculation on Zayn’s switch by his tweet on Monday Night which stated, “Dear @iLikeSamiZayn, #TeamBlue will never hold you back #BlueIsBetter.”

After winning a match against R-Truth with ease, Braun Strowman was attacking his partner Goldust when Sami Zayn came to the rescue and applied a sleeper hold on the big man. However, soon enough Strowman was in complete control and continued to decimate Zayn until Mick Foley walked in and asked him to stop.
Zayn, somehow, was not at all pleased with the Raw general manager and confronted him about his actions. Foley claimed that the superstar was risking serious damage at the hands of the ‘Abominable Strowman’ and that sometimes people need to be saved from themselves.
In response, Sami said that if there was anyone he needed to be saved from, it was Mick Foley himself as he seemed to have forgotten who he actually was. The latter retaliated by saying that Stephanie McMahon would have fired Zayn for losing the Intercontinental Championship match against the Miz at the Survivor Series had it not been for him.
He also proceeded to tell the Canadian wrestler that he will never win against Braun Strowman. This fired up Sami Zayn further, and he told Foley that he used to consider him a hero but at present, he is only a hypocrite who is proving to be an obstacle in his way before walking away from the ring.
