WWE Rumours: SmackDown Live star tells wrestlers not to join WWE

Land of opportunities?
Land of opportunities?

What’s the story?

SmackDown Live might be the 'Land of Opportunites' according to Shane McMahon but it looks like one of the superstars on the roster is not happy with the opportunities he has got. Andrade has reportedly told two wrestlers not to join WWE saying “it isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.”

In case you didn’t know…

Andrade was, until this week's episode of SmackDown Live, known as Andrade “Cien” Almas. The Mexican superstar has been in the main roster for a few months and was recently given the push.

Rumours in December suggested that Andrade was unhappy with his position in the WWE. He was being used as a mid-carder and despite Zelina Vega constantly touting him as a future champion, WWE creative reportedly have no plans of giving him a shot at the title.

The heart of the matter

According to a report by Wrestling Observer (via Ringside News), Andrade has told Rush and Dragon Lee not to join WWE. The SmackDown Live superstar has worked with Rush at Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre around 2014, while Dragon Lee is reportedly a good friend of his.

Rush has gone on to sign a deal with Ring of Honor and that reportedly pulled him out of the independent shows in the United States. WWE have already expressed their interest in Dragon Lee but have not been able to get a deal done with him.

What’s next?

WWE are currently giving a push to all the superstars who are unhappy. The launch of All Elite Wrestling by Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Tony Khan has reportedly made a lot of the WWE superstars interested in the new project and reports suggest that a few have asked for their release.

WWE are now trying to make sure that they manage to keep hold of their talent but with rumours of Andrade bad mouthing the company, it might not be easy for them to get fresh talent on board as well.
