WWE rumours: Title reunification at SummerSlam, Ambrose's stipulation, Ric Flair
According to reports, WWE are considering to reunite the United States and Intercontinental championship belts at SummerSlam.
Last night, Wrestle Zone noted that a Triple Threat match is likely on the cards which will include US champion Sheamus, IC champion The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler vs The Miz is already official for the pay-per-view after Monday Night Raw.
So pitching Sheamus into the picture should be a last minuted move by the company which could mean that we could have a single champion emerging the winner with both the belts.
Elsewhere, Dean Ambrose is set to announce the stipulation for his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. The Lunatic Fringe was able to distract Rollins on Raw during his match which ultimately Rollins lost, giving Ambrose the power to add a stipulation of his choice.
Ambrose will be announcing it on the Smackdown TV tapings and it is expected that the match he goes for will be a Street Fight.
- WWE is promoting "special guests" for next week's episode of Raw, the go home show to SummerSlam. There are plans to bring in a few names you haven't seen in a while, but Ric Flair is the big one. What role he will have is unclear and if his last couple appearances are any indicator, WWE probably has no clue what to do with him.
