WWE Rumours: What was discussed in the meeting between Triple H and Kurt Angle?
Wrestling fans in Columbus, Ohio were in for a treat at the Arnold Sports Festival (formerly the Arnold Classic) that took place from the 3rd to the 6th of March. Those in attendance soaked in the second edition of the WWE Experience which saw a number of matches from NXT Superstars and Q&A sessions with the likes of Braun Strowman, Triple H and even the inspiration behind the event, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
But that might not be the end of the fun. According to reports from wrestlinginc.com, Triple H met with former WWE Champion Kurt Angle at the festival. The Olympic gold medallist was there to be inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.
There is no information available if the two deliberated anything, just that they met. Kurt Angle was an integral part of the WWE roster from 1999 to 2006, collecting six WWE World Championships, an Intercontinental and a United States Championship.
He left the company amidst some contention and spent a decade with TNA, with whom me recently parted ways after a farewell tour. He stated to the media that he isn’t retiring from wrestling, and would return after a year’s hiatus. He is scheduled to face former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio at an indy event in the next few months.
