WWE Rumours: WWE to suspend Brock Lesnar over SummerSlam controversy

Suspension on the cards?

Brock Lesnar left the SummerSlam ring with a bloodied Randy Orton after a very rare TKO victory this Sunday night at their main event matchup. There was much speculation whether Orton was meant to be busted open or if it was actually a serious cause of concern for the WWE officials present there.

It is not that surprising for the fans of the Attitude era or the Ruthless Aggression era that a wrestler like Randy would be busted open by Lesnar during the MMA-style pummeling that he delivered. It was unlike WWE these days, however, to have booked the match that way, given that there is a lot of emphasis on talent wellness, and bloodshed being very rare in the PG era, it could be that it was planned that Orton shed some blood during this match.

Although it would be a reckless move on WWE’s part to plan for something like this, it would match Brock Lesnar’s ruthless persona that has been forged over years not just in WWE, but in the MMA world as well. If it wasn’t planned, however, Brock Lesnar could face serious scrutiny from the WWE team and be fined or suspended since this isn’t the first time they would be upset over Lesnar’s antics both inside and outside the ring.

The two possible outcomes of this event will be that either Lesnar gets suspended for his actions and if worst comes to worst, loses the title shot against Finn Balor; or that this is WWE’s way of setting up The Beast as a monster who can’t be defeated.

Speculations at this moment point to the fact that Lesnar may indeed get suspended for some time on this week’s RAW by Mick Foley. The rationality here is that WWE have already been concerned over The Beast’s careless attitude, and SummerSlam was just the final nail in the coffin.
