There's change afoot...
There's change afoot...

What's the story?

In some surprising news, it looks like WWE may very well be about to change the design of at least one set of championships and possibly another at WrestleMania or shortly after, according to Belt Fan Dan.

In case you didn't know...

Belt Fan Dan broke the news that WWE were introducing Women's Tag Team Championships last year, revealing intricate details around the design of the belts before anyone else had speculated on the titles that recently found their way onto WWE television.

Dan is a custom belt maker and source of much belt related news and has also previously hinted that WWE may be about to introduce Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships to 205 Live, which WWE then reportedly filed a trademark involving.

The heart of the matter

WWE could be set to reveal new RAW Tag Team Titles and new SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35.

Belt Fan Dan noted on Twitter that the newly designed tag team belts are completed and are currently in the New York, ready to be revealed at WrestleMania weekend.

Dan noted that the new titles were created by legendary belt maker "Ace of Belts" Dave Millican and have removable custom side plates, much like the major singles titles, for the tag team that holds them to have their own special mark while holding the title.

The red brand is set to receive new designs altogether, while SmackDown's design will stay the same except for the removable side plate modification.

Dan also teased another huge change for one of the belts on RAW...

What's next?

At WrestleMania 35, The Revival will defend the RAW Tag Team Championships against Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder while The Usos defend their SmackDown Tag Team Champions in a Fatal Four-Way against The Bar, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, and Ricochet and Aleister Black.
