Backstage members unimpressed with Ryback's booking
Ryback made his in-ring debut in WWE in 201 as a part of Nexus (ring name: Skip Sheffield). His stint with Nexus didn’t work well and he vanished from WWE tv to heal from an ankle injury soon after.
He was repackaged in the WWE as Ryback in 2012 and since the ‘re-debut’, Ryback was pushed as a super strong athlete, who can take down any opponent. He even started to feud with the then WWE Champion CM Punk. But after that, the WWE Creative failed to make him relevant.
He was associated with Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel, which also didn’t help him get over with the fans and it was followed by a host of unpopular feuds. He won the Intercontinental Championship in May last year but his reign was shabbily booked that ended within four months.
It is being reported that WWE officials are receiving backstage criticism on how they are booking him. It seems whenever he appears to get ‘over’, the officials mess things up for Ryback. Even the stars aren't supporting the decision over his ‘new’ look and attitude and have criticized the revamp for the Big Guy.
