WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Chelsea Green makes history; Cody Rhodes stretchered out; HUGE return (12/14/2024)
We got some great matches tonight at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, starting off with Drew McIntyre taking on Sami Zayn. We had four big title matches on the card, one of them being the inaugural Women’s United States Championship match. Fan favorite Pat McAfee also returned tonight at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

- Liv Morgan def. IYO SKY to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship
- Gunther def. Damian Priest & Finn Balor to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
- Chelsea Green def. Michin to become the new WWE Women’s United States Champion
- Cody Rhodes def. Kevin Owens to retain the WWE Championship
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
Drew McIntyre had the early advantage and got some big strikes in the corner before Sami Zayn came back with some strikes of his own and hit a clothesline to send him outside. Sami went for the moonsault off the apron before Drew tossed him over the announce desk.
Back in the ring, McIntyre got a big suplex and blocked the Helluva Kick before taking a spinebuster into a jackknife cover. Drew got the Liger bomb before Sami Zayn hit a top rope sunset flip off a counter. Sami missed the Blue Thunder Bomb and countered the claymore before getting the Blue Thunder Driver. Sami was in control but took the Claymore before Drew picked up the win.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY - WWE Women’s World Championship match
Liv Morgan started off strong but took a big dropkick before blocking a German Suplex from IYO SKY. The latter hit a penalty kick and a moonsault before getting Liv with the Shotei. Liv was sent outside for a big dive before the match headed inside and the champ tried for a diving Codebreaker.
Liv got a second Codebreaker before SKY caught her in a crossface. Liv reversed out of it but took the double knees in the corner before SKY went for the moonsault. Liv got her boots up to take her out before getting the ObLivion on IYO for the win.
Result: Liv Morgan def. IYO SKY to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor - WWE World Heavyweight Championship match
Finn Balor headed outside early on and let Gunther and Damian Priest fight it out before coming back to join the match. Damian got some big uppercuts and kicked Gunther outside the ring before hitting a big dive. Gunther came back with some big boots before Finn got the Pele Kick and Priest hit them with a double clothesline.
Priest got a reverse STO on Gunther for a near fall before the champ locked Balor and then Damian in a submission hold. Damian got the South of Heaven on Balor before Gunther broke up the pin.
Gunther hit a powerbomb on the steel steps before getting another big powerbomb in the ring for the win.
Result: Gunther def. Damian Priest & Finn Balor to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Chelsea Green vs. Michin - WWE Women’s United States Championship match
Chelsea Green sent Michin outside early on but missed the following dive before getting caught with a big forearm. Michin headed back outside and Piper Niven got involved, taking her down with a slam while the referee was distracted.
Back after a break, Green hit the Rough Ryder and followed up with the Unpretty-her for the big win!
Result: Chelsea Green def. Michin to become the new WWE Women’s United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Results: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens - Undisputed WWE Championship match
The match headed outside early on and Kevin Owens bounced Cody off the announce desk just like Randy Orton does. Owens went after the bad knee of the champ and mocked Cody Rhodes by imitating his dad Dusty Rhodes' moves. Cody was fired up and hit a powerslam before getting an RKO on top of the announce desk.
Back in the ring, Rhodes hit the Cody Cutter for a near fall before Owens came back with Fisherman's Buster from the top rope. Cody dodged a stunner but took the referee out in the process. Owens hit the stunner but there was no one to count. A new ref showed up before Cody hit a superkick but missed the Cross Rhodes, taking out the second referee!
Owens brought a chair to the ring but took the Cody Cutter before Cody hit the Cross Rhodes on top of the chair. Cody went for the pin as the original ref Charles Robinson got back up and Rhodes picked up the three-count.
Result: Cody Rhodes def. Kevin Owens to retain the WWE Championship
After the match, it was noted by the live audience that Owens hit a piledriver on Cody Rhodes who had to be stretchered out and Triple H got into an argument with Kevin Owens who was walking out with Cody's title belt.
